Medical and Vision Insurance Accepted in Tempe
At Lakeshore Optical, we accept a variety of insurance plans. These plans help pay for your vision and medical care.
Below is a list of some of the insurance providers we accept.
Understanding Medical vs. Vision Insurance
Many patients are unsure about the difference between medical and vision insurance. While both can contribute to your eye care costs, they serve different purposes:
Medical Insurance
Medical insurance covers treatment for eye diseases and medical conditions affecting your vision, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, eye infections, and injuries. If you receive a medical diagnosis during your visit, your medical insurance may get billed instead of your vision insurance.

Vision Insurance
This covers routine eye exams, prescription glasses, contact lenses, and sometimes discounts on LASIK or other vision correction procedures. It is designed primarily for maintaining healthy vision through preventive care.
